Congratulations to all our Year 4 & 5 children for their superb winning performance at the Rock Challenge Final held at Portsmouth on Wednesday 25th April. A huge thank you to everyone involved.
The Wellow School Association will be holding an eggciting Easter Egg Hunt on Friday 30th March 10.30am-12.30pm – £3 per child Come and join the fun – all welcome!
1st Place Success! For the sixth time we took part in the Southern J Rock Challenge event on Friday 23rd February. We are immensely proud of all the children who took part, not only for the performance but their impeccable conduct throughout the entire day.
A reminder that applications for Hampshire County Council Primary Schools September 2018 entry need to be completed by Monday 15th January 2018!
Thank you to everyone that came along on Saturday night to attend the annual Wellow School Fireworks display. We have received very positive feedback and the night was once again a great success! A huge thank you to everyone involved in putting the display on and everyone that helped on the night.
The NSPCC Assembly was a great success – the event was attended by several media outlets including ITV, BBC, Wave FM and the Daily Echo. We were thrilled to welcome Dame Esther Rantzen, founder of ChildLine to take part in delivering the important message of staying safe.
For the fifth time we took part in the Southern J Rock Challenge event on Friday 17th February.
Several children from Years 5&6 were lucky enough to become ‘Primary Reporters’ for the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton over the Christmas break. The Rotary Club of Romsey Test invited children from schools in Romsey and the Surrounding villages to submit poems for the “Poems for The Queen’s 90th Birthday” Competition.
We were lucky enough to have warm, dry weather again for our annual sports day. The children spent the whole day taking part in different activities, working as a team and earning points for their houses.
Children from years 1 to 6 took part in a competition to create a piece of art that expressed an understanding of faith in Britain.
Wellow School recently had a visit from author, Ali Sparkes, kindly funded by the WSA.
